Dr. Robert A. Kiel received his B.S. from Tufts University and his D.M.D., Periodontics specialty certification and M.Dent.Sc. from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He spent a year as a visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Bern Dental School in Switzerland, teaching and doing research in the area of the microbiology of periodontal disease. In 1982, Dr. Kiel joined the faculty of the University of Connecticut as an Assistant Professor in the department of Periodontology while he also developed his private practice in Vernon and West Hartford, CT. In 1989, he resigned his position at the Dental School to devote his full time energy to his patients in Vernon.
Dr. Robert A. Kiel is a member of the International Team for Implantology, American Academy of Periodontology, Connecticut Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and Tolland County Dental Society. He has been selected as one of the top dentists in Connecticut for the last six years.
